It’s difficult to get over the modern need for hate and hence virtue in the brain of the hater. Yet Labour has 3 strings to its bow on the self love hate stakes:-
- Corbynistas or Momentum or The Left a group who think they can ignore economics or advice and be credible with a skeptical public. They find victims in every corner. Backed by a series of out of date ideas that ignore the changes in work and production and the future at the expense of platitudes and appeals to virtue.
- The Moderates. These people push the extreme liberalism whilst enacting the kind of policies that stifle wages and boost assets. All whilst celebrating differences as embodied by their Jim Crowist policy of multiculturalism. They and the progressives will rant at Tim Farron’s religious beliefs [and hence their own superior creed] but celebrate the greater and actual bigotry of Islam and the mainstream Muslim community. Nicer to the poor than the Tories in the short term but ultimately with same aim – an ordered society of a medicated poor and an elite. Oddly a middle class group seeking their own oblivion albeit with the expectation among the few who understand their creed they will be part of the elite see the Blairs and Browns.
- The Progressives who see the need for an alliance with Greens and Liberals as though they represent a single strand of opinion. They seek to be the glue in between the other 2. The major flaw they have is they cannot unite the Labour party never mind an infantile Green party which talks of banning horse racing and Liberal party that is not Liberal. Economically more for localism, environmentalism and other good but hard to sell non concrete stuff.
All 3 united in the identerism that those outside any of these creeds find so off-putting and un-voteable. All love great cries of sexism and racism and can remove TV hosts but precious little else. They are also united in slagging each other off too.
This is a quote from a piece in the Irish Independent :-
Judging from the media coverage of Labour MP Jo Cox’s murder, terrorism is now a word that is confined to describing violence committed by brown-skinned Muslims.
Bare in mind some of the left spends silly amounts of time denying that Islamic terrorism is Islamic. People who claim to have a book dictated to a 7th century pedophile that gives them the right to kill gay people and women for having sex is not in and of itself a problem. Now they turn this around and try to point out the supposed other sides hypocrisy without acknowledging their own – it’s a display of mental gymnastics Nadia Comaneci could only dream of.
Also note the attempt to inject race into the so called religion of peace’s issues. The fundamental problem with Islamic terrorism is the fundamentals of Islam to quote Sam Harris – it’s not a racial issue. It’s nothing to do with their skin colour. Indeed not all Islamic terrorists are Brown.
Are the Regressive Left & Right here saying Islamic Terrorism is terrorism and Right wing terrorism is terrorism too? That would actually be a step forward. Probably not. Easier for both sides to tarnish the mentally ill?
It’s why the Left are losing the votes of the working class to people who if they do not speak the truth at least acknowledge the obvious problem. How can you take seriously the left (or right) Cnutists? Those who want to believe a group who so do not share their values share their values? A group so hung on celebrating diversity they prefer their fantasy over the reality of Islamic scripture and attitudes.
After Liz Kendall’s and other people who openly admit to mediocrity and moderateness vapid screeds about their ‘values’ I approached John Denham’s piece on the loss of England to Labour skeptically. However it was just factual. It made clear that in many ways Labour’s racist Multiculturalism had succeeded. English groups felt separate, Scotland certainly did and voted Labour out, UKIP has a hold in Wales and Labour are out of power for the foreseeable with even a clown run Govt.
I am pretty sure many Labour MPs will still choose to display their goodness at an obviously ethnic event and be seen as champion of a divided culture. My only question would be is this a display of their conceit at their non racist goodness?
There was a report in Haaretz which was tortuous but nailed it. Multiculturalism assumes all communities share the same values and if they actually did would not be needed anyway. Multiculturalism falls down because it is not true and people become ghettoised with an identity handed to them whether they want it or not.
People advocating to take 10s 1000s of refugees should bring more than their own piety to the debate if they want to convince the public that taking on people of traditionally poorer backgrounds [in UK] who may fail to integrate will work. Not assume the people asking are racist as frankly it does not matter if they are. Leaving the political field to the Right is surely a bigger miss than dismissing people.
It comes across as those who fire labels back don’t have an answer.
