With Tony Blair who won 3 elections and clearly many people at one time thought to some degree he represented them it is apparently sufficient to smugly say ‘Iraq’ and smile smugly turn away, argument done. Now Blair is a reprehensible reptile and Iraq was a mistake but it’s his support for despotic leaders not to mention torture and rendition that makes him truly nasty and a representative of the worst the world offers. Yet what if what he says is about something he is not paid to support? What if you don’t have an argument against it? Is your dismissal really so clever? Would you be happy if I brought up the time you punched someone, took some money, puked on a carpet, lied at work to someone else’s detriment, belittled someone or covered up a cock up? And dismissed anything you said. Continue reading “Judge Arguments Not People?”
Syria has descended and into the vacuum has come the Russians with an indifference to life well in tune with the region it is now interfering in. What to do? UK Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan seem to have a reputation for incompetence to put it gently. US incursions are brutal and involve the expending of colossal amounts of ordinance before someone arbitrarily says ‘Misson Accomplished’ and then at some political date they leave. The use of Proxies in Yemen left the neo Cons clinging to the “Russia does not pay compensation” schtik. Neither side does reincarnation I’d willingly bet.
What to do? What to do?
Libya shows the standard of thinking in the West done by Cameron, Sarkozy and Clinton. The 3 twats wondered in under some flag of giving a shit and then did not after someone got killed. We did not oust Assad and same result with better weapons on the enemy side. Equally taking over a country holding an election is not installing democracy in Afghanistan and Iraq.
In theory I’ve come to support intervention but in practice, it’s a bit shit.
Both candidates for the Labour leadership talked about negotiating with IS. Sorry this is not on. Continue reading “Labour’s Clown Show”

This shows the army of people who voted and generally do not vote in elections for me. The ones who maybe stopped voting Labour in 97 or 01 and were not there in 2005 – the Tories were so despised and the economy seemingly on track Labour actually had a majority off 35%.This minority are not interested in the kind of virtue signalling of Labour where expressions like ‘celebrating our diversity’ or any other I am a great person platitudes may even offend them. This is a quote from a piece in the Irish Independent :-
Judging from the media coverage of Labour MP Jo Cox’s murder, terrorism is now a word that is confined to describing violence committed by brown-skinned Muslims.
Bare in mind some of the left spends silly amounts of time denying that Islamic terrorism is Islamic. People who claim to have a book dictated to a 7th century pedophile that gives them the right to kill gay people and women for having sex is not in and of itself a problem. Now they turn this around and try to point out the supposed other sides hypocrisy without acknowledging their own – it’s a display of mental gymnastics Nadia Comaneci could only dream of.
Also note the attempt to inject race into the so called religion of peace’s issues. The fundamental problem with Islamic terrorism is the fundamentals of Islam to quote Sam Harris – it’s not a racial issue. It’s nothing to do with their skin colour. Indeed not all Islamic terrorists are Brown.
Are the Regressive Left & Right here saying Islamic Terrorism is terrorism and Right wing terrorism is terrorism too? That would actually be a step forward. Probably not. Easier for both sides to tarnish the mentally ill?
It’s why the Left are losing the votes of the working class to people who if they do not speak the truth at least acknowledge the obvious problem. How can you take seriously the left (or right) Cnutists? Those who want to believe a group who so do not share their values share their values? A group so hung on celebrating diversity they prefer their fantasy over the reality of Islamic scripture and attitudes.
The terror state Iran is apparently to buy $25 Bn of aircraft from Boeing. There are many angles to the ridiculousness of this:
- Iran is a terror state which would love a global caliphate
- These planes will contain state of the art technology to a country we would like to leave backwards
- The US taxpayer subsidises Boeing to a ludicrous degree
- Iran executes women and gay people for having sex in case you did not know.
- Iran sponsors our enemies Hamas and Hezbollah and has links to almost all terror groups even Sunni al Queada
- A subsidy to pollution
- Iran does not recognise Israel.
There is a problem as I pointed out with excusing US incompetence in foreign policy as being fundamentally about Capitalism – idea it is not morally wrong even if misguided. Actions make it seem more about profit and indeed that the enemy is a frenemy or a device or feedback loop for more spending on subsidised weapons manufacturers like Boeing that in turn profits political leaders personally. We are asked to sacrifice our freedom to fight the likes of Iran as our Govt hands them cheap resources and takes taxpayers dosh?
The other lie that Mr Obama’s Administration and those sanctimonious European Airbus subsidising guys push is the need to fight climate change so why subsidise pollution?
It’s not even good capitalism to boot.
Apparently the leader of the UK Labour Party will not appear on a platform with David Cameron. Just more random make yourself look fucking stupid principles from the party of one eyed conceit? It’s dumb politics if nothing else? Continue reading “Corbyn No Platforms Himself?”
