Dystopia Now!

On the last poll 91% who expressed a preference said Lib Lab or Con. Now there are indications Labour may break the last 20 years of idiocy and a pretence. The Cons say they might but really when Cons spend more it goes to friends [Gordon Brown no doubt upset I did not add an ‘aussi’ there]. However to think that authoritarians like McDonnell and Corbyn really would improve the state of freedom in the country requires a considerable amount of LSD.

Left and right have warned about this and dystopian filmakers to boot. Nonetheless the idiocy backed by probably 500+ MPs is this that people should have no say over Govt services and that corporations should be sovereign – most of the rest are Socialists and are less worried about corporations albeit Tony Benn loved a big’un. Indeed this is the logic behind the right wing Tory BrExiters to tie the country down in trade deals that prevent legislation and progress on Health, Food and the Environment. To maintain the Monopoly side of capitalism: to make it a Zombie innovation less capitalism.

Trivial example was Sheffield signed an unbreakable PFI. Amey a Spanish company has since cut down 6000 trees rather than make trivial repairs to roads and pavements – no avenue for appeal or prevention. Historic trees, new trees, nice trees, ugly trees and uncle Tom Cobley anything is fair game to them, Environment Schmenvironment. In a corollary people went to the Arsenal board meeting and some examples of that mostly male class of never ending sociopathic front men ensured no one could speak – not even shareholders have say in this society.

No political party is planning on rolling back state and corporate power. The saddest part is I do not see people of any generation and class who want it back. People will vote for these awful parties and even a new Labour redux centre party would be worse than the SNP, Labour, Conservatives, Liberals, DUP and UKIP on this as they were neo Liberalism’s true believers.

Big State power to back corporate irresponsibility and suppression of rights, health and safety, and liberty means it is a profoundly depressing time for anyone who likes freedom and accountability.

The Americans Are Who We Thought They Were

From 80s deaths squads to support for murderous theological wars in Yemen and over throwing Govts it does not like the Americans of Charlottesville are who we know Americans to be. Sure we chat to our liberal friends on the coast and they decry Trump and rightly so. Yet they have allowed him here through voter disinterest and indifference to how the economic idiocy called policy has for 37 years affected others and shrunk the middle class and the security of pensions. A country where most people are one family illness from bankruptcy.

The appalling ideas of racial segregation now less Jim Crow more institutional instruments, and cultural creations of US military pimps Hollywood. The ridiculous concept of trickle down economics. Stealing 3rd world utilities under the guise of Aid. Tolerating corrupt murderers who do their bidding. The concept of judicial murder by Drone.

The guff that Mrs Clinton and Mr Obama have produced about “this is not us” – try telling the rest of the world that. Now they want to separate and pretend that this is not the result of their work. They want poor and ignorant to just accept their lot without reaching desperately for the idiocy of an Orange silver spooned clown when all they offer was more of the same delivered by arguably the most patronising voice of the self righteous Democrats. They’ve sent people in a direction and then complain how far they take it and their reaction to it.

Even being right about LGBT, racial differences and women’s rights can’t be done in a non virtue signalling way that would win people over to its transparent correctness.

Democrats preach equality but push inequality and their own sense of self goodness and wonder why others don’t agree.

Caught Between the Rabble And The Robot

Yes you may feel that the UK has presented us with 2 horrible choices for Govt but 82% of those who voted voted for them. You might feel we are trapped between 2 incompatibles whereby one buys off the young and the other the Boomers. In America you might now realise it was not which kneecap but 1 or both and you have chosen wrongly. You might feel wherever in the West you are trapped by a Kleptocracy or Plutocracy or Idiotocracy or Crony Capitalism. You might feel you have a diminishing democracy. All Credit Mr Corbyn

New Labour types cannot even acknowledge the pursuit of Tory 2015 voters would have been/was fruitless (triple lock and social care, dementia tax, barely dented those greedy Boomers’ votes). Whatever else Corbyn got the strategy right but guess what the sterling silver spoons of New Labour don’t even have the heart or analysis or brains to even acknowledge that. Hotel California

I’ve made the point before that western lifestyles may have changed but that to say we are richer when we cannot live the lifestyle I aspired to at 18 and might be dead by now if I had but that’s not the point. Is this world of so called Liberalism and slow decline of living standards one we can easily leave behind? Not just the EU but the whole lot IMF World Bank and even tantrum led USA.

Would initial devalued currency etc be fatal if we stepped off the liberalism and  free trade agreements nonsense – where Govts pick winners like Socialists by favouring certain industries over others? Continue reading “Hotel California”

Don’t Vote Fascist: Vote Poverty

My question to all the economists and Govts last 30 years if  you claim liberalism, globalisation, EU have benefited us why can’t we afford health, education, pensions, benefits, weekly garbage collection, social care etc. now? Continue reading “Don’t Vote Fascist: Vote Poverty”

It’s difficult to get over the modern need for hate and hence virtue in the brain of the hater. Yet Labour has 3 strings to its bow on the self love hate stakes:-

  • Corbynistas or Momentum or The Left a group who think they can ignore economics or advice and be credible with a skeptical public. They find victims in every corner. Backed by a series of out of date ideas that ignore the changes in work and production and the future at the expense of platitudes and appeals to virtue.
  • The Moderates. These people push the extreme liberalism whilst enacting the kind of policies that stifle wages and boost assets. All whilst celebrating differences as embodied by their Jim Crowist policy of multiculturalism. They and the progressives will rant at Tim Farron’s religious beliefs [and hence their own superior creed] but celebrate the greater and actual bigotry of Islam and the mainstream Muslim community. Nicer to the poor than the Tories in the short term but ultimately with same aim – an ordered society of a medicated poor and an elite. Oddly a middle class group seeking their own oblivion albeit with the expectation among the few who understand their creed they will be part of the elite see the Blairs and Browns.
  • The Progressives who see the need for an alliance with Greens and Liberals as though they represent a single strand of opinion. They seek to be the glue in between the other 2. The major flaw they have is they cannot unite the Labour party never mind an infantile Green party which talks of banning horse racing and Liberal party that is not Liberal. Economically more for localism, environmentalism and other good but hard to sell non concrete stuff.

All 3 united in the identerism that those outside any of these creeds find so off-putting and un-voteable. All love great cries of sexism and racism and can remove TV hosts but precious little else. They are also united in slagging each other off too.
